About Guy Ben-Ari

Co-Founder & Executive Director

Guy Ben-Ari is a seasoned cultural institution leader with over 15 years of experience driving operational excellence, strategic growth, and mission-aligned transformation across globally recognized art institutions. Currently serving as Senior Director of Operations at Pace Gallery, he oversees a 75,000 sq ft flagship in Chelsea and leads a cross-functional team spanning facilities, gallery operations, and imaging. Guy manages capital planning and regulatory compliance, and directs financial planning for a global operational budget. His approach blends rigorous fiscal oversight with a deep commitment to accessibility, inclusion, and public engagement.

Prior to Pace, Guy served as Director of Business Operations at Art Advisory Services, where he managed all core business functions - finance, communications, compliance, and sales - supporting executive leadership with data-informed planning and audit-ready fiscal management. His experience includes roles at The Metropolitan Museum of Art and Columbia University, in addition to his own experience as a co-founder and executive director of Meta Meta Meta LLC, an arts space dedicated to inclusive programming and civic partnership.

With an MFA from Columbia University and business training from Wharton, Guy brings a unique perspective to institutional stewardship, shaped by his experience as an artist, educator, and strategist. He is deeply invested in building accountable, collaborative teams and sustainable cultural ecosystems. Whether guiding capital projects, advising on DEIA frameworks, or ensuring compliance with city and state regulations, Guy remains focused on advancing cultural institutions as vibrant, resilient, and community-rooted spaces.
